Rosé Provence launches the World day of the Rosé in Saint Tropez 22th June 19h begins in the citadel of Saint-Tropez at 7 pm

A new “Rosé world day is registered on the calendar”. It is an event for promoting the sales and advertisings P.O.P. of the rosé wine which it is very appreciated in the summer!

The first world day “Rosé” will begins on Friday, June 22nd in the presence of Brigitte Bardot and personalities of the wine-making and cultural world of the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur. The wine growers realized that the world increase of consumption and exports of the rosé wine and they took together this initiative in the South of France to mark the spirits. The producers of rosé of Provence and organizers, find this idea brilliant! It is not an institutional project; it is the one of a vine grower from the Var. But it is not enough to have big ideas, it is necessary to know how to organize them.

France exports 13 % of rosé wine of its total production of wines annually exported and the market demand is increasing.
The first day of the festivities is June 22nd, 2018 at 19h (7 P.M.) will be officially inaugurated since the citadel of Saint-Tropez illuminated for the occasion in “Rose”.

Lighting up the Citadel

The artist internationally known Alain Guilhot who is also the decorator of the Party of the Lights of Lyon will be present to illuminate the Citadel. Valerie Rousselle is organizing in parallel the Day of the international matches of the rosé with scientists in a congress in Saint-Tropez during the day. The wine rosé, it is the product which comes from the earth, it is not that a question of winemaking. There is a big work to be made on the sector, the ground, the vines, those Resistance fighters for the diseases, the hydria stress, etc. Coming 20 years get ready now and it for all the rosés: Provence is the spearhead, but we shall speak about all the others with scientists who will come from the whole world because it is not a question of copying one Provence Style or traditional making but of making the typical rosé of every territory.

To do it, the OIR (Organization International of Rosé) convinced partners of choice, to begin with, the city of Saint-Tropez:  “when we think of rosé, we think of Saint-Tropez in order to see Life in Rose”. It is also my born village and when I requested the mayor, he answered at once “Yes Indeed!” and in the Saint-Tropez Gulf, we are lucky enough to have the opportunity that the municipalities of Gassin and Ramatuelle, which have prestigious wine growers, also adhered and they have linked to the project,” underlines Valérie Rousselle.

“On Friday, June 22nd we shall activate start the event by firing the citadel of Saint-Tropez of pink with a big Rosé concert. At the same moment, Paris will carry on pink with big bosses at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. This New Rosé Day in South of France (Provence Rosé) will be renewed every year on fourth Friday of June, at the time of the summer solstice.

Valérie Rousselle is an outstanding woman, a president of the International Organization of the Rosé (OIR Organization International of Rosé). She is the owner at the heart of Provence of the castles “Roubine” and Saint Beatrice (Lorgues Var) where she sees everything through rose-colored glasses for twenty years!

For more than 20 years, Valérie is the president “Éléonores of Provence”, a charity with the help of “30 wine women winemakers”. Never short of ambition, had the vine grower acquired the Castle Saint-Beatrice in 2016, a domain situated in the municipality of Lorgues, in only some miles away from the Castle Roubine.
